One of the most interesting facts in air freight management is the technological advancements that are developed day-in-day-out in an attempt to improve the processes. Among the various advancements is evident in the video titled ‘Boeing Drone Designed to Carry up to 500 Pounds: Boeing’s New Cargo Air Vehicle.’ The video illustrates one of the innovative solutions by Boeing. The drone is capable of transporting loads of up to 500 pounds (Berger, 2018). Commonly referred to as the Cargo Air Vehicle, the drone can perform a vertical take-off as well as landing and perform cargo movement in the air from one point to another (Boeing, 2019).

            Some of the points that I found interesting are the fact that the drone is used as a prototype meaning that it is one of the evolutionary elements in the air cargo industries. Moreover, this innovation offers a path to future aerospace vehicles. Such advancements are impeccable, given the expectations of the future aviation industry. The other interesting thing about the clip is the fact that the movement of goods will be made easier and the fact that processes will be more efficient. The safety of the cargo that is being transported is also guaranteed with proper monitoring and maintenance.

            As a manager, I would begin by holding incubation events through which people can come up with innovative ideas and try them. Thereafter, I can integrate the most efficient systems that would assist in accomplishing tasks at the airline. Considering the safety of employees, I would ensure that they are provided with safety equipment to ensure they work in a safe environment. I would also conduct regular checks on the systems to ensure they remain efficient. A regular update of the information systems will be in place so that there is always an updated and improved processes of the working systems and operations.
