The final research proposal should be no less than 10-12 pages, excluding the title page, abstract, interview, and reference list.

Use the following headings:

• Abstract-In 150-250 words summarize the key points of your research. This should be written in one paragraph double-spaced.

• Introduction (Title of paper)—In no less than 2 pages to sell the idea to the reader

• Literature review – In 6-8 pages summarize the recent literature that provides a rationale and context for your hypothesis.

• Hypothesis – Specify your hypothesis and what the independent and dependent variables are.

• Methodology – Address the following subsections 1 page:
 Research design
 Sampling design
 Instrumentation, including how you would operationalize the independent and dependent variables and any other demographic or background information you would want to collect.

• Protection of Human Subjects-Describe the potential risks, what you could do to mitigate them, how and from whom you would obtain consent (if needed), and how you would maintain anonymity or confidentiality of information.
• Data Analysis Plan –1/2 page discuss the statistical procedures you would use to test your hypothesis. Identify the level of statistical significance (alpha) you will set as a criterion and your rationale for establishing that cut-off. State whether you will use a one- or two-tailed test and why.

• Strengths, threats and Limitations – ½ page identify what you think are the major strengths and limitations of your proposed study.

• Conclusion: End the proposal with a one-paragraph conclusion.

Papers should be typed, double-spaced, using 12-point font in Times New Roman, with 1-inch margins. APA format, citation, and referencing style must be used. All unoriginal themes/work must be properly credited.
