 Write a two-page essay of 500 words in APA style.

 You are the leader of the Emergency Planning Team for New Orleans prior to Hurricane Katrina.  

 1. Identify a risk and choose a physical asset or social group(s) that is vulnerable to the risk.  (Risk will be a chemical attack; physical asset will be a shopping mall)

2. Determine the priorities for physical protection. 

3. Analyze and develop a mitigation or preparedness strategy to protect or reduce the vulnerability of the physical asset or social group(s). See pages 38-54 of the textbook, “Outline of Risk Management Steps” for assistance.

All sources used, including the textbook, must be referenced; paraphrased and quoted material must have accompanying citations.

 Conduct research for your final research paper by reviewing reputable Internet sources, after-action reports, and the CSU Online Library. Reference material will include SIX references with two of the references from a peer-reviewed journal.
