NURS 410 Service Learning Experience (SLE) Project – Part 1 of 2

Service Learning Experience (SLE) Project – Part 1 of 2 (begin week two, due week three)

What is service learning?

Service learning provides students with a meaningful experience that integrates and applies knowledge to solve real-life problems in the community. Service learning projects provide students with a significant learning experience which enables the student to enrich professional practice. This project will also afford the student with an opportunity to develop problem-solving and decision-making skills and to become actively contributing members of their community.

What is a significant service learning project?

A significant service learning project is one that is meaningful to you, solves a real-life problem, integrates your knowledge and skills, and provides a community service. There are many websites that provide ideas for service-learning projects.

It is the responsibility of the student to submit the assignment prior to the due date, to ensure that the VeriCite originality score is less than or equal to 20%. Assignments may be re-submitted as many times as needed, before the due date, to achieve an originality score no more than 20%. Assignments showing a score greater than 20% will receive zero points for that assignment. Assignments re-submitted after the due date may be subject to a late penalty.
