Romanticism is a well known philosophical movement that is associated with the nineteenth century, one that had a profound influence in the music sector (Stabbed Panda Music). The impact of the romanticism in the arena of music is seen today. As mentioned in the video, in the romanticist-influenced music artists were more concerned about entertaining their audience and less concerned about fulfilling their own musical dreams, even today, through the ongoing influence of romanticism movement, most musicians are more focused in entertaining their audience.
Romanticist-influenced music is known to increase its audience day after day. Romanticism transformed music from being just a progressive power used to drive messages in the society to becoming a narcotic and a self-indulgent personal experience it is in the modern era. The personal touch of the music today makes people fill up pop concerts just to listen and get entertained and have their personal feelings elated. Today, society is highly alienated, and people now turn to music for solace in their desperate and lonely moments.
Through the influence of romanticism, artists and musicians make and produce music that is deeply rooted in the current affairs in the society. It is through the music that the contemporary society members are enlightened and informed about the issues and crises that are deeply rooted in their immediate society and in the international arena.
Through music and the romanticism influence in it, the musicians are inclined more in addressing the hardships and struggles that ordinary people experience in their day to day lives. People connect more to what is related to their own personal lives, and having music that is relevant to what they are going through not only entertains them but also gives them ideas on how to deal with issues appropriately.
