Social Problem: Gender Inequality
Introduction
Gender inequality has continued to be a subject of debate for a very long time. The social problem acknowledges that men and women are not equal and that gender dramatically affects the living experience of an individual. According to the book, racial categories have been changing over time. Some of these beliefs and distinctions might be empirically grounded, but some may be socially constructed. Although different factors explain the difference in sex, particularly in mortality and morbidity, the critical determinant is gender inequality. Analyzing the issue of gender inequality, particularly among the minority groups in the country, will help advocate for mitigations that would favor them.
The term minority group depicts discrimination and is often interchanged with the subordinate group (Keirns et al., 2016, p. 248). Different factors can be described as the fueling dynamics behind gender inequality in society. Racial prejudice can be seen as the strongest form of discrimination against minority groups in the country (Keirns et al., 2016, p. 248). 249). As such, it is evident that women, and particularly those from minority groups, face a lot of prejudice and discrimination at the workplace, fueled by ethnic differences and perception. The text identifies that newspapers can play a large part in spreading discrimination, and particularly among the minority groups (Keirns et al., 2016, p. 250). Moreover, some researchers believe that the move is because role models to propel their desire to work in such prestigious positions, bearing in mind that many organizations have a discriminatory aspect on the issue too.

Black women are some of the females who face gender inequality in the country. The native American, the only non-immigrant group in the country, also faces dangers of prejudice and discrimination and Native Women, Hispanics, black women are the lowest compensated Keirns et al., 2016, p. 250). The native Americans culture has continued to be criticized with much of the mitigations trying to eliminate their culture (Keirns et al., 2016, p. 259). Conclusion
The issue of gender inequality is prevalent in the country, despite being addressed in different platforms. Women continue to receive less acknowledgment of the work they do despite their qualifications. Much research has shown that women earn less recognition and their race or ethnicity, making it worse. On average, pacific Islanders and Asian women have been known to receive much credit at work as opposed to Blacks, Hispanic, or Native Americans who receive far much less than what they deserve. The issue of inequality has also been observed in terms of how men receive compensation and salaries. Despite women being highly qualified with multiple university degrees on average, they receive less payment as opposed to men. It would be imperative if the government worked on the issue that continues to tear society.
